An Update and Our Lockdown Activities

Well hello and welcome back. It has been a hot minute. Firstly, let me explain the lack of blog last week. Well last week sure turned crazy very quickly as you all may remember. I decided to embark on the little colouring in shirt adventure and make them available to the public. I had no idea when I embarked on this so many of you wanted to support this adventure and purchase a shirt. The support has been truly overwhelming, and I am thankful to all of you for this opportunity. I cannot wait to drop my next range. So you're probably wondering how this affected the blog. Well on Monday at 8.30 am the Premier here in Queensland put us into 3-day snap covid lock down starting at 5pm, which meant that I had orders that where due to be collected later in the week that need to be done ASAP, in case the lockdown went longer. We did not want anyone to miss out. I also had to, some what, get prepared for this lock down, battle the madness of panic buying and had to make sure I was ready to go for the big fluffy guy in case lockdown went longer than the 3 days. So unfortunately, something had to budge on Monday and it just so happened to be the blog. But I am back, and I have lots to talk about over the coming weeks.

I don’t even nowhere to start. So much has happened. School holidays have started early so it's been full steam ahead. So much for jumping back in the slow lane. I must have been dreaming lol. We survived the lockdown with a few activities, some Disney plus and 10 meals a day. I think the small human has evolved from 4 breakfast to 6. I am currently trying to work out what day it is and catch up on all the washing. For some reason it seems it multiplying dramatically, clearly it missed the birth control memo. But today I thought we could touch on a few activities that we have been doing to keep us busy. We might be out of lockdown but covid is still a very real thing here so hanging out at home is happening a lot.

So, my small human is very hands-on, loves anything they can get their hand into. I 'am always try to think of fun ideas and new ideas to keep things interesting. So far, we have done

  1. A free for all craft table

  2. Kinetic- sand table

  3. Chia seed Slime

  4. Sand Art

  5. We set the Easter tree up

All these activity have been a hit for the small one. There's been a few crazy moments where I didn’t realise there was a Glitter tub in the craft tub. Well 2 baths and an shower later I think the small one stopped shining. I mean the poor dog still has a few sparkles on his coat that are going to be haunting me for a while. I’ll still be finding it in 2022. You watch, I’ll have to start a segment where oh where is the glitter today lol. Gosh I am already having flash backs I wish I had a photo because it was one of those turn your back for a minute glitter bomb explosions. Well played small one, well played.

The green chia seed slime, that has been a mega hit. It's so cool, even I had a go. It is just an odd texture and with extraordinarily little mess I am incredibly surprised about that one lol. Sand art this is an old one but a good one I purchased a pack from a company called Sandsation. You will have to look them up, I'll attach a photo below.

Yes, you read correctly we have an Easter tree. It's got a little set up happening, I'll have to add a photo. It's not like a Christmas tree or anything, it’s a table tree. I love the festive holidays to the disgrace of my better half, I think he is happy I haven’t pulled out any matching pjs yet lol. I am working on something epic for Christmas, I am sure he just cannot wait lol.

Well, I’ll add some pictures below of the activities. I hope everyone has enjoyed the Easter break. Stay safe out there people and enjoy those eggs.
