The Moreton Island Dolphin and Tangalooma Wrecks Snorkeling Birthday Adventure

Hello out there coming from the confinement of the Greater Brisbane 3 day lock down. If you asked me last week if this is what I thought I would be doing a week after Turing 28, I probably would have said you're kidding me right. But it's a swift reminder that Mr covid 19 is still very present and is gladly joining us all in 2021. Stay safe kids. If you're in lock down with me, big virtual elbows to you. But for now, let me take you back to a day that was wonderful and something I'd happily do again.

So bit of a back story. When I first started dating my better half, I found it near impossible to find him a gift for any occasion, let alone 3 gifts in a space of a month Christmas ,birthday anniversary . Fun fact we share birthday, lol . So I started buying him adventures for Christmas and birthdays. We have done some pretty cool thing over the years there has been some stand outs and this latest one is defiantly top 3 that's for sure.

This year I booked The Moreton Island Dolphin and Tangalooma Wrecks Snorkeling Adventure. Let me tell you, if you google this, it lives up to the pictures by far. I later decided to upgrade us to the Captain's lounge. It was quite spectacular seeing how the Captain navigates the boat. Secretly it was just incase I spent the day sea sick, no-one but the captain would know, lol. Safe to say we both survived unscarred from no such event. The day really surprised me. When we arrived to the port it was over cast and showers on and off. I was pretty convinced it was going to stay like this for most of the day, but hey we were going to get wet anyways, what did it matter. We cruised through the port out into the bay, it took a little over an hour to get out to the wrecks. We were first out into the wrecks and as soon as I came off the barge, right below me, was a beautiful turtle. We were super up close. We snorkeled around, exploring the ship wreaks and ocean floors, getting up close to the beautiful marine life below us, swimming through the packs of fish. It was really so beautiful and spectacular. Memories that will last a life time and I couldn't have spent the first day of 28 any better.

After we had finished exploring the ocean we headed back to the boat for an amazing fresh sea food lunch that the crew had prepared. It was delightful. I just have to mention, the crew were so amazing the whole day. After lunch we headed out to the front of the boat as the sky's had cleared. It was beautiful. We lazed around for a bit and right in front of us were some very cheeky dolphins getting very close to the people just off the beach. After a while we went over to the beach and walked along the golden sand enjoying the ocean sounds. We then swam back to the boat. I tell you what ,I am no #fitspo these days, that took it out me, lol.

As the day was nearing the end, the Captain took us on an eco marine tour on the way back, where we got lucky enough to see some more dolphins and turtles. We even saw a baby dolphin. The captain informed us its name was subway cause it was only about footlong, lol. I'll attach Photos and videos below so you can see a small amount of what we did. We then headed back to main land. We kicked back and enjoyed the peace. Once we arrived back to the port we took the chance to go to dinner at our favorite place. Dumplings.

We arrived home to balloons and cake and a family face time call to sing happy birthday to us. Was a great way to finish off the day. By this time I finally realized how sunburnt I was and spent the next 3 days complaining and saying I'll never do it again. Who am I kidding, I haven't learnt my lesson at all, lol.

So here's to being 28 and surviving 2021. Anyways, I must sign off, have get back to my new profound job of what can I do now LOL.... I know there so many other mums out there who feel me right now but we will survive the stay at home orders. We survived home schooling. We can survive 3 days. And to anyone who has been locked down for weeks and months on end, you are amazing you, have got this.

Next week we will touch on an old adventure something that was so magical. In the beautiful state of Tasmania.

Stay Safe.
